I think you and I have the same mindset - they want to sell the car then they chase the issues down! Plenty of other cars to buy!

Of course, not withstanding the contravention of their own warranty stipulations, it may be that LR know there is no NEED to service their vehicles with the frequency they enforce on customers. They are just getting 2x more revenue from 12monthly servicing.

Or they are not servicing within the LR fleet program and passing onto dealers who then have to take the cost to service them before selling.

Well I’ve emailed the LR dealership where I bought my ex management car (with its first service at 16months) to ask two questions?
    1. What has this ‘oversight’ on THEIR part done to MY ongoing warranty?
    2. What servicing anniversary date am I expected to follow to maintain their used car warranty.....my purchase anniversary......their overdue service anniversary....or the actual anniversary of the cars registration?

There has been deafening silence..... apart from an automated acknowledgement.

At the time, the salesman said it was ‘fully serviced for me’ ....I should have smelt a rat when one tyre was 5psi lower than its companion! But with my past experience of LR dealership workshops what did I suspect?

The absence of a good old stamped service manual in the glove compartment makes it more awkward to check these things at the time of purchase. We are left to seek out the truth online ourselves...before agreeing.

Personally I feel cheated and despite loving the car, I will be less predisposed to buy a LR product when It comes time for a change.
