Can anyone confirm if an HSE with the InControl remote apps, can have the engine started remotely via the phone app to heat the car up, or does that facility only work with the optional Timed Climate option ?

I'm sure that I read somewhere that the engine can be started remotely, but according to the salesman, only if the optional 'Timed Climate' is fitted. I'm not sure that's correct, but would just like to clarify if possible.

The difference being is on mine it starts the engine to warm up. with it would start the FBH.

We have "Timed climate with remote park heat"
If you use the app, it starts the engine.
If you use the remote plip or on the timer (only one plip supplied for two keys!) then that starts the FBH.
For early mornings we use the FBH so the engine has an easier start and is pre-heated, late in the day we use the app so the air-con compressor can pre-cool the car after a day in the sun.
