Discount on Approved Used
Wondering how flexible dealers are on approved used stock. Has anyone got experience here?
Been reading through the threads and have found a few on new car discounts but have so far struggled to find anything on used discounts.
I have found a car I’m interested in. It’s approaching its 1st year anniversary and represents a 34% discount vs new, however, it’s missing a tow bar and roof rails. Is it reasonable to ask for these to be retro fitted as part of the deal along with a price discount? Or am I going to get laughed out of the door?
Also curious to know, if the car is ex JLR is the dealer selling on their behalf, so just takes a commission or does the dealer own the car outright?

Ex JLR management cars are sold to the dealer network at closed auctions, so they belong to dealer not JLR

I found new cheaper than 6 month old with 2000 - 6000 miles commercial though

Trouble is if the price of a new or used car from a dealer is discounted, then the price of your trade in is worth less too.
