Convenience access - how to switch on?
Not sure if that's the right terminology.
The driver's seat used to slide forward with ignition on and back with ignition off. Just had a SW upgrade at the dealer's and it's not working. The manual says go into convenience features in the settings menu on the digital dash, but there is no option there for this particular setting.
Does anyone know how to set it to ON?

Turn the steering wheel adjustment knob to Auto.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately it already is and switching off and on again makes no difference.

I think you are right, but the SW update has screwed something up. The dealer told me the same thing; I now have to take it back into them.

Just a thought, but is it possible the car has forgotten the memory setting for seat position etc. Perhaps try re-memorising it to one of the door buttons and setting steering column knob to auto again.

It gets weirder. The memory is working OK and the seat controls.
I used the auto/man switch to manually move the steering column a little and then the convenience access started working a bit. Not as much as I thought it should, but it's hard to remember. I have the seat quite a long way back and it has now started to move the wheel a fraction but the seat not at all.
For the missus - who has the seat a looooooong way forward, it moves the seat a little bit - maybe an inch or so. That's not right, is it?

From my experience the seat moves back and drops lower and the steering wheel moves forward (towards the front) and raises. I never used it on my D5 nor my Velar. Only on my D4 some years ago so could be different to the D5.
