Ordered a D5 (MY2012) HSE D300
Order Date: Dezember 23rd 2020
Build Date: May 19th 2021
Hope it will be build well, despite these rough times...

Dealer told me that there is a 10 week wait for a new one. Yours is not being built till May?

Correct.
The build date depends on trim, options and engine.
Over in the Facebook Group there are a couple of guys that ordered a D250 later than me and are getting it build 1-2 month earlier. So it's probably the D300 engine that's causing the wait for me.

HI Hauser - you've probably seen my thread, but build dates are moving all over the place at the moment. It appears dealers are/were being very conservative with predictions, so expect it to come sooner.

Hi,
well the dealer told me the date that the J/LR factory lists my build slot on. So it's not him being pessimistic. And I know from the Defender Facebook Group that the D300 are moved 2 month back right now (they are getting contacted by their dealers).
In addition there is a world wide shortage on semiconducters, causing all car makers to stall on their production. (https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/audi-idles-10000-staff-chip-shortage?fbclid=IwAR2aKyu_pLX8tA_i5IB4gis42HAFW1FFmh9G04dZ9R3xDKGetGNUaB33nrw)
So it would be very cool if it would come early, but I highly doubt it at this time.
