  On a more serious note though you said it goes like . Even though engines are bench tested nowadays, I have been told that it's still better too err on the side of caution and take it easy for the components too bed in properly before putting the foot down after 1000 miles. (Keeping the revs low and not thrashing it) which apparently will pay dividends and prolong the longevity of the engine, the first 1000 miles being paramount / critical too the engines life.
