I recently bought a D5 SD4 HSE 2018. We had a great time with it, driving to Portugal and back. But on the way I noticed dieselprices are almost equal to petrol. In the UK this has been common for some years now, but eg in the Netherlands we pay a hefty roadtax for dieselcars and 'enjoy' a lower dieselfuel price. The trick is, they want to keep trucking cheap as we have many transport companies and trucks.
Now given covid and restrictions as well, we don't do that many miles anymore. Hefty roadtax makes it less sensible to keep the diesel. Also we get solarpanels. Both facts let me consider buying a hybrid, but there is no D5 hybrid an none is planned as well.
So I think of moving on to a RR P400e 2019. But I'm a bit worried about the life expectancy of the 13kWh batterypack. Anyone has any knowledge on that ? Lifespan and replacementcost too. Please give me some background, couldn't find any with google.
JLR PHEV batteries offer a minimum 6 year or 60,000 mile (whichever comes first), 70% state of charge warranty dependant on the vehicle.
The warranty is contingent upon proper use and maintenance of the vehicle and regular charging of the battery.

Dealers swears (puts it in writing) : 8yrs guarantee on battery, failure only.
Failure is also less then 70% capacity.
Translated from a Dutch carmagazine ( 10 oktober 2017 ):
"..The high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13.1 kWh can be charged at home in 2 hours and 45 minutes with a special 32-ampere wallbox. Connected to a regular 10-ampere mains connection via the included charging cable. it takes 7.5 hours to charge. The Range Rover's battery is covered by a warranty period of eight years or 160,000 kilometers, guaranteeing that the battery has at least 70 percent of its capacity left..."
