A week in on the 21s and thinking about putting the 19s back on. The car handles great and looks fantastic but not a fan of the harshness, perhaps too used to the lofty 19" probably look at 20"

20"s are very comfy with their large side wall
Give them a go - they are cheap to buy as well.

    The 20's generally are 255 55 20 with a side wall of approx 140.
    And 21's generally are 275 45 21 with a side wall of approx 123

I like the comfort of the 19 but they ain't a pretty looking wheel. I'll see how it goes over the next week or so.

I've also developed kerbing paranoia, never bothered me with the 19"

I was kerb paranoid with my 22"s.
    20"s - no such worries

2018 Discovery Si6 HSE Lux Santorini Black

The HSE demo/courtesy car i was given had 20s.
Ride was very comfy, albeit the car felt really wallowy on country roads, with lots of body roll.

However once i picked up the FE, which had 22's, the first thing i noticed that the ride was a lot firmer, than the 20s. Mind you the ride was still comfortable. The car felt a lot more stable and planted on the country roads, with alot less body roll.

End of the day it depends what you want, advantages and disadvantages too both sizes, (comfy ride verses road handling), not too mention the possible kerbing issues with the 22s, as Pcheaven has kindly pointed out, plus the bigger the wheel, the more likely its too buckle if you hit a pothole, rather than a smaller one Shocked

The small piece of trim between the rear door and 3rd row window, which has to be removed to fix it

I like to think I'm the 1st D5 to cross the new Queensferry Crossing

Well D5 away for its first long stay at the dealers. It's away to the body shop to have its loose bit of trim fixed. So five days with a Disco Sporty, I think it's SE Tech with optional pano roof. Never really enjoyed my experience the the DS but this one with the 9 speed is pretty good, though seems to have a thirst for AdBlue or it must have small tank. It's done about 3,800 miles and only has 1,500 miles of AdBlue left.

One thing I like about it over the D5 is the thicker steering wheel and the more weighty feel to the steering. The part leather seats feel more comfortable than the leather on my D5 and it's nice to have the pano roof, that's one thing I did like about my DS. Power seems ok, perky enough and the 9 speed is fab, no hesitation like the D5 has at times.

So overall it shouldn't be too bad a week with the Disco Sport.

D5 back, picked it up this morning. Don't realise how comfortable it is until you're running around in something else.
