  Red flashing light

  Hi all
  Had my 67 plate HSE Lux for 18 months and noticed tonight a red flashing light in the centre of the left hand dashboard display next to where the headlight symbol would be after locking the car. Blinks all night long.
  Never noticed it before so i am either extremely unobservant or its just started.
  Any ideas ?
  
  Not sure if linked but the symbol for high beam assist (AUTO ?) no longer shows even when i have it ticked in settings.
  
  Already had 3 punctures repaired on it this week so its been an eventful one
