    When I ordered the D5 I was partly influenced by the idea I was supporting UK manufacturing. Only to be disappointed to learn that the D5 is built in Slovakia.

    Realistically, all cars have imported components - electrics, fuel injection etc, so nothing will be 100% British.

    OK, so the engine is made in England and the leather comes from Scotland. But what else?

    It would be good to find a website giving %UK content, not just for cars, but I can't find such a thing. I'm guessing the D5 is no more than 25%.

    It was my understanding the Slovak cars were actually better put together!

    Dunno if that’s an urban myth or not. I’d heard similar.

    Anyway, I’d rather support a car made in this country and if that ain’t LR, then I’d have to think about the next car.
