Caravan electrics
A few months ago, I fitted a VLM4 to my 2016 Swift Challenger which connects to a 2015 Discovery 4.
Tomorrow, I pick up my Discovery 5 and need to tow the van within 24 hours.
Does anyone know whether I will still need the VLM? Do I need to remove it or can I leave it in place?
Thanks

I tested the electrics today and thankfully, everything was ok as we are off with the tin tent tomorrow. However, to get the plug from the van into the socket on the car, I have had to unscrew and rotate the car socket as the flat edge that sticks out from the plug was hard up against the bumper, preventing the bayonet from turning into place.
I have the manual towball and the socket is on a pull-down bracket. I don't know whether this setup is the same for the electrically deployable towball
I would be interested to hear whether others have experienced this.
Cheers.

If nobody else gets there before, I'll give you some pics on Saturday as we're taking our electric towbar for a test at the weekend.
