email from JLR
just received an email purporting to be from email.landrover.co.uk informing me of a new incontrol app addition that contacts me via phone if I leave my car unocked ( without th engine running) for more than 15 minutes. It will only work with the latest remote app ( which i understand isn't as good as the initial App, so I don't have it) Not convinced it isn't a scam,, Anyone know????

I have both versions on my iPhone at the moment and both work so best of both worlds.

I also have both versions. Each seems to offer slightly different features. So if we want the complete picture we need to use both, which is a bit of a shambles.
Notable differences, leaving aside cosmetic differences:
Darker Icon ver 1.81 (184)
This has a 9 point health report but unable to set Guardian mode
Lighter icon ver 2.8.3
This offers guardian mode but a more limited health report
In everyday usage I find the second version more useful

I find the message saying I’ve left the car unlocked annoying. I can’t think I’ve ever locked it when I am in residence up North. We are quite remote and the car is parked at the end of a long driveway. I don’t leave the keys in it that said.
I think it stems from having another LR a few years back and the BlackVue dropped off the windscreen at 4am. It was like the 3 minuet warning going off and woke the whole house. I wasn’t popular.
