    Another SIM card question.

    I have just bought a MY 18 HSE Lux and have tried putting in a Virgin Sim card which has 500mb data and 500 minutes of calls/texts for £6.30/month, but it doesn't recognise it.

    The card is from my “Medical Alert” mobile which I hardly ever used and no longer need.

    Do I just need a Virgin Sim with an increase in data only as I won't be using/wanting calls and texts?

    Not all SIM cards work for some reason. I, along with others here, use this without a problem.

    Sim Card Life.

    Cars Sim Card is rarely used being for Emergency Services (999/112) and to call JLR for assistance. As my 3 UK card was not used 3 Cancelled it. Any suggestion as to a suitable Sim Card that wiil not be cancelled due to lack of use (plenty of credit on card).

    Perhaps a silly question but have you got mobile data switched on?

    Even though I don’t use it actively, it’s on and it still seems to use some data just being live.

    Would have thought that qualified as being used?

    Mine is the 3 version mentioned above and has worked for 23months ok

    MAC OSX, I use mine for live traffic info, are you not using that?
    2017 HSE now sold, if you own WF17AXN then you have a well sorted car!

    Good point. I will check that. Will help keep Sim Card live. Provider thinks Card is redundant through lack of use.
