I have used one and am still kind of using it (sometimes). Works fine, except that sometimes it takes for ever to connect, and sometimes it completely refuses to connect. I reinstalled my conventional usb cable, as I found this quite annoying. Mine is called Carlinkit.

Thanks HHCG1100 for the reply.
I bought the same in the end.
A Carlinkit 5.0.
So far after I updated the firmware itโs been faultless.
Really impressed with the little thing ๐
Hopefully itโll stay that way.
Cheers

HI, interesting. I have not updated firmware, and mine is a few years old. Will try that - maybe that helps. ๐
Edit - Actually, this might be influenced by the model year of the D5, and the infotainment software involved. Mine is a 2019 D5, and the infotainment software is a nightmare. Faulty reactions, all kinds of irritations, connection cutoffs, screen dark and system dead, Carplay either refuses to connect or cuts off phone calls, whatever else. No further updates available, we seem to be stuck with what we have, and that is really miserable. Maybe yours if 2020 is better?
