I called my dealer to enquire whether my 2019 model has or needed the fob upgrade. Waited a week for reply so called today and was told there is no outstanding upgrade for my vehicle . I had checked that on the JLR website already but suspected the key fob maybe outside of that list. I have the oblong key fob
So may not need an update but then if 23 models are being upgraded how can you find out if you need one or not. Have to say the LR dealer was not massively helpful but did follow up my call with an email reminding me to book my service for June!

The 2023 software upgrade is not to do with the key but isolating certain canbus features used to add new keys if an attacker is already in the vehicle (left unlocked etc.)
