Car wont start
2017 Lux petrol
Car doesn’t start. Battery is good, it reads 12 volts while pressing start button and pressing brake but engine doesn’t crank. Gear button doesn’t pop up. Dash lights up, seat and steering wheel adjusts, head lights on but engine not cranking.
Tried locking and unlocking car.
Battery ground looks good.
Thinking a module gone bad?
Thanks

Try a jump lead from the negative battery terminal to the engine.

Battery ground is good. I tried jumping just in case.
The dash lights up, steering wheel and seat self adjusts, headlight light but no sound from the engine.
Checking fuses now but no luck.

After checking dozens of fuses I found a bad 5A fuse in the glove compartment panel labeled ‘telematics’ which strangely prevented the engine from cranking.
This panel got wet leading to the windshield resealing 3 years ago. Windshield leaks are pernicious but I’ll know where to check next time.
