    Creaking engine plate

The alloy engine plate on my 2019 2.0l petrol HSE has creaked for most of the car's life. I've had it from new and it started intermittently after around 9 months. It went to the dealer several times where they temporarily cured it, but it keeps coming back. It make no difference to how the car drives, but it is audible inside and outside of the car at slow speeds and is just really annoying.
My local independent mechanic has greased the nuts and changed the washers a couple of times, but it still keeps coming back. He has several other customers with the same issue.
I want to try and resolve once and for all and am considering just removing the plate. I don't think the plate is structural, and I suspect it is really only there to protect the engine if I go off-road, which I don't!
Is it a good idea just to remove it, or does anyone else know of a permanent fix?
    Any help appreciated!
