Harwoods Croydon sales dealership now gone...
Had an email from Harwoods a while ago to say their sales dealership would be closing, so for sales we'd now have to go to Crawley, which is their nearest dealer site. The service location in Croydon remains, thankfully.
Drove passed their 'old' dealership today and it's now a huge BYD franchise instead, with a packed forecourt.
Seems that brand is prepared to invest in dealerships!
All such a waste, as it wasn't all that many years ago Harwoods really expanded its site and made its showroom much bigger / more modern.

Yes they did that at my local dealers. They now service/ repair and sell used LR models. The nearest new car dealer is now 40miles away! We are however able to have the delivery / handover at our local service centre.
It’s hard to know whether this strategy will, long term, affect brand allegiance. On a positive note at least it is better being a LR owner than a J owner right now.

Interesting.... and quite true I guess!
Plus, I suppose, they want people to order cars online and not be interacting with dealer salespeople so much... unless I've got that wrong....

Marshalls have stopped selling new LR's from some of their sites, they are retaining the sites for time being as authorised repairers and selling used vehicles of all makes.
