  Transmission control.

  When the transmission control is returned to "D" position from "S" position the control is not springing up as it should. I have tried using Maintenance Fluid with only small success.

  My old car went a bit like that as well, assume it must be something wearing in the mechanism.
  
  I ended up just working around it by remembering to pull up and push down as I moved between S and D. It became a natural movement, and seemed to avoid the problem getting worse. Not ideal, but mine at least did not get so bad I needed to take it in for repair.
