    Wind noise but not wind

For the past while I have been hearing what I thought was wind noise from the drivers door on a 2020 Landmark. Was coming back end of the door inline with my ear or so I thought. It isn't too loud but had been annoying me thinking the door needed adjusting.

Today I shut the radio off while driving and pulled and pushed on the door to try and affect it to no avail. Then as I came to a stop sign I noted I could still hear it and it wasn't windy out. When I got back home I parked and left it running to try and track this down. If I lowered the window half an inch still there, lower it an inch and it stopped. Strange. Open the window all the way, close it, sound is there. Drop it an inch, gone. As I know it can't be wind, I now tune in that it may be hvac related. Turn off the heat/ac and the noise stops. Turn it on, starts up again. Head scratcher.

I then notice there is a vent in the lower B-pillar for the back second row and think that must be it. Get in the back, open and close the vent, noise isn't as clear as when in the front. Play with the rear hvac controls a bit, get back in the front, noise is still there. As I press my ear to the back corner trying to listen to the vent, it is sure that the noise is coming from the drivers door where the door panel meets the rear window frame. I pinpoint the noise to the seal between the door card and window on that back corner. Pull a little on the door card there and it affects the sound. I then push down on the door card in the first 3-4 inches and the noise stops and stays stopped.

I'll go for a drive again tomorrow to see if it returns but am confused and what was/is causing it. It definitely now sounds like a windy air duct but there are no airducts in the door. Turning off the cabin air would stop the noise. Dropping the window at least an inch would stop the noise. Pressing on the corner of the door card stopped the noise. All this while parked.

Very interesting. I have the same issue in my 22 D5 Metropolitan. Will look at this area on my way to work today.
