The steering rack is the only thing I see that would overly concern me...it lists a mechanical fault rather than a general PSCM fault code...
High friction could be due to water ingress into the steering rack, excessive wear due to lack of lubrication etc. It's not a new fault that's just spontaneously decided to crop up since you bought the D5, it's been a mechanical issue happening over a period of time before you bought it. It's only going to get worse.
You mentioned that your D5 is still covered by a limited dealer warranty, I'd show them that fault code and get them to check and/or replace the steering rack... unless you want to add that to a future job list using your own spanners...
I've got the same recurring fault code on mine for the heated washer jets...as much as I'd like it gone, it's not high enough up on the list of the usual niggly Land Rover fault codes yet.
I really love to plug an IID tool into any Land Rover, just once, and see zero DTC's...it would be truly miraculous
I bought mine from an indy dealer in Stoke on Trent...so the usual indy dealer 6 month warranty stuff was practically meaningless with me being up here in the north sea.
To be fair, mine was looked after by both the previous owners... it only did 1k-3k miles between MOT's for the original owner and they were all clean as a whistle, servicing book stamped etc.
The second owner put some miles on it and wasn't as fussy about having the service book stamped...but it was and still is a very tidy car mechanically, never had as much as a single advisory on any of the MOT's and all the usual wear and tear mechanical stuff has been done...
The second owner only had it a year and traded it in as the next service would have been the expensive one with the timing belts. He traded it in for a 2 year old custom BMW X3.
I was fairly lucky with it. Came up at the right time just when I had decided to pull the trigger on buying one.
When my D.3 broke down we were contemplating a car before but we were then stuck having to sell the swmbo car to chop in again it this and make a large deposit to afford the finance
I'm still stuck with the d3 repairing as and when
I saw this car at Leicester and for the price, mileage , full history it is tidy apart from a few minor scuffs on the bumper and fully loaded . If I could of got a lower mileage one I would but only 2 red lux’s were available at the right price and one was private so that left this one (swombo choose the colour as it’s her car 🚗)
I remember back when i was looking to swap our D3 out for a D4,
regularly searching auto trader for the right Disco,
1 day I missed setting the tab to search for D4’s only,
so the search results popped up to included all LR’s,
Just as swmbo walked into the room, the list appeared & right at the top was a RR Sport in Firenze Red that just happened to be at our nearest LR dealership,
Guess what our next car was
MY2019 Hse lux in Indus Silver
Deployable tow bar, cubby fridge, side steps, black pack.
Mrs Mole has always picked the colour of the motorbikes, always invariably red for some strange feminine reason...If I couldn't buy a red one, I had to get the airbrush out and paint it
As for the D5, the only instruction I got was... "Don't you dare buy another grey Land Rover... They do make them in other colours you know!"
