Rear Media Screens - Default to OFF.?
Is it possible to have the Rear Media screens set to a default OFF and only come on when requested by the Remote or from the front screen..??
I have to turn them off manually each new journey or the kids just mess with them.....!!!!

Ours flash on when you start the car with the LR logo then go off after a bit if not used.
Well they did when I had the car instead of it being in the workshop
When I'm not in the operating theatre, I'm mountain biking, spending time with my family, running and socialising. I have a Discovery 5 HSE Lux with pretty much every option ticked. This is my first ever Land Rover. Been a rocky road with regards to reliability but we're getting there.

Mine seem to go off after a while. I do have a question though. my screens seem to have a plastic membrane in front of the screen. Does anybody else...
Thanks Rob

The plastic membrane is a pre-delivery screen protection which should have been removed during PDI. They managed to remove those but left every green tag that must have held in place floor mat protection...!!!
May be a daft question, but how do you know the rear screens have gone off if no rear passengers...?

Don't give them the remote
I keep the remote control and the headphones up front when I don't want the kids using them.
For short journeys I'll set up both screens to a DVD (from the front) with the audio through the cabin speakers.

im reading about a lot of D5's back at the dealers. Doesn't give me any confidence. And I totally agree with the options. Very confusing to really see what your ordering. This hasn't been the best experience for me any way. I am sure the car will be lovely but I am like Road Runner at the moment.. having that bitter taste in my mouth. This is my First LR experience too.
