Access to Storage Behind Climate Control Panel
My vehicle has developed a fault in that when the button at the top centre of the climate control panel is pushed, to get access to the storage area behind the panel, it does not open.
It is noted that if the button is pressed and at the same time, with the other hand, one of the knobs on the panel is pulled slightly then it will open.
It seems that when the button is pushed the latch is pulled down, but once it is released it pops back into the retaining slot before the spring loaded mechanism has a chance to open up the storage area.
Have others experienced this issue and if so what is the solution.

The easy solution (worked on mine) was to lightly grease the small rubber pegs inside the opening, you'll know exactly what I mean when you look inside. They're small, rubber and pointy on the upper sides of the aperture...
A very light application of some lithium or silicone grease on those rubber pegs stops the door from sticking when pressing the button...I applied a smear of lithium grease on mine a year ago...the door hasn't stuck since
