Put new battery in... need to tell car ???
I put a brand-new battery into my MY17 HSE LUX. All seems well however I'm reading that the car must be told it has a new battery as a matter of urgency.
I didn't realise it was a must! What contraption do I need to tell my car it has a new battery?

You should reset the BMS with a diagnostic tool. This tells the car to start a process of learning the characteristics of the battery so it can use it optimally.
However, the BMS is constantly learning so it will work out the new battery's properties eventually even if you don't reset it.
