If people are thinking of rejecting cars, when they have got rid it would be good to have a thread with the VINs. This was done on an Audi RS forum I was on years ago and proved quite useful as the cars with issues soon (and i mean soon) found themselves on forecourts. -

Good idea, no one wants too end up with a lemon.
The 2 litre I had as a demo car was faultless. Maybe should have stuck with the 2 litre instead of the 3 litre

Plus how the hell can you get the spare number plate wrong???? Dealer has all the registration documents.
Not even attempting too polish the scratches out as I want the garage too see for themselves the paint issues. How it passed the PDI is beyond me or did they just sneakily try to polish them out

far away from what should in early vehicle being 100% right.
if these visible things arent there what else is missing ?
not good on a premium priced vehicle.

My thoughts exactly. Dealer accused me of never being happy. More too the point I payed for the accessories so where are the missing bits?? Am being short changed!! Maybe they put my bits onto another car?? Plus not checked the side steps yet too see if fitted correctly. That's why I always prefer too put the accessories on the car myself, but i did not want too risk damaging it knowing my luck, so entrusted the garage instead. I just hope the roof bars don't fly off, plus one mudflap had too be totally clipped in and religned by myself as there was so much play in it, with a 4 mm gap. I just wish all the accessories were factory fitted, as at least then fitted properly and pass all the required checks before leaving the factory

Door protectors
Well so much for the 3 year warranty if fitted by LR. Only just lasted 3 weeks if that. I did mention that they were not fitted correctly but was assured they were ok on the day I picked up the car. As far as am aware you are supposed to heat up the sticky tape on the rear of the protector with a hair dryer or hot air gun so that it's sticky and bonds better. Looks like they have been attached without heating up tape and just applied cold. Also looks like they were applied after the car was polished / waxed so no way in hell will they stick. Just about to fall off. Plus from the photos you can see they look as if were applied on the top of the ridge and subsequently moved below the ridge, leaving nice scratch marks on the paint work all along the length of the doors. Shocking!!!

Tow bar electrics.
Tested both new trailers and the brake lights dont light up at all. Checked to see if the bulbs were ok which they were. Checked the connector was pushed in and turned correctly which it was. I also have a testing kit especially for trailers/caravans sockets and the cars socket and was showing an error from the cars electrics, but showed trailers were both fine. Rechecked the lights on brothers car and brake lights worked fine
Not even used the trailers once due to this malfunction, plus the number plate supplied by the dealer was the wrong one compared to the cars registration. -

Rear boot issues
Rear tailgate wont deploy from the button on the boot itself. Only deploying from the button at the front.

Roof bars - roof damaged.
I asked for the roof bar plastic moulds to be given back to me should I ever need to take off the roof bars. As you can see the left hand side has been badly scuffed taking the paint off. Looks like an abrasive cutting disc/grinder, was used on it, plus the metal has also been shaved off.
Had a look over the weekend and not surprisingly the roof itself had been damaged. A chunk of metal has also been shaved off about 1 inch long and the paint has come off. Why on earth would a grinder type of tool be used on the plastic roof parts??? It's a perfect recipe for disaster. The metal will start to rust and the paint will start to flake off and I can't see LR sorting the issue out as they will just turn around and say that it was me who damaged the roof as the car never left the factory in that state. Will just turn around and say it was self inflicted
The damage has been hidden by the rubber strips on the roof. Obviously the garage thought that no one would have the sense to look there. They never even had the decency to even try and touch up the paint work, even though they damaged the car. A visually impaired person could see the damage (no offence meant). Obviously not bothered as not their car or money, but have the cheek and audacity to charge me £100 an hour for butchering my car. Yes I understand that bits taken off can be liable to damage, but no excuse whatsoever for the damage left behind to the scratched paintwork on the roof and the metal being shaved off. I have taken photos of the roof mould sitting next to the roof damage and you can see its a perfect fit. The more I look at the car the more damage I am coming across
