    I took delivery of a new D3 a few years back with 45miles and wasn't happy as all my previous new cars had less than 10 miles. The dealer showed me a PDI sheet and also a bulletin that required 2 road tests, he also pointed out the missed call I had 3 days prior which was to explain.

    Might be worth asking about what was done in PDI? If there is no evidence of a requirement to road test over and above the norm then I would expect the similar mileage as others here as its the same distance from the factory to the transporters at the Landrover end then whatever to get it unloaded and into prep at the dealers plus a trip to the nearest fuel station.

    30 miles + without any satisfactory evidence says a quick joy ride for someone or even a demo for a customer which Audi once called and asked me if they could do pre delivery of a brand new RS6, you can imagine my answer !

    Car was from another branch and they paid to have it PDI so i was told (as if they had done me favour)
    When i asked where it was from the salesman said he never knew.
    Well that seemed a bit fishy as surely if you have had it PDI and paid for at another garage then you should know where it came from. ??

    I escalated this yesterday and want to know what garage it came from and how many miles were on the car when it was released to my dealer. Yes i requested too see the PDI report also.

    Am assuming with the lack of forthcoming information, that they did the PDI themselves, and would not be surprised if it was taken home by a salesman or a test drive.

    Well that constitutes a second hand car, which i payed full price for if that is the case.!!! Censored

    My last 3 Subaru Stis all had less than 10 miles on the clock.

    As did my Subaru forester

    Wifes last 4 LR all had single figures on the clock on delivery.

    Am not a happy chappy to say the least - i never even got too arrive home on Tuesday before the car started too smoke badly, 6 hours after pick up !!!! Censored Censored Censored Censored

    I witnessed a new Merc a few years back being delivered too a customer on March 1st. I was sitting at 80 and it roared past me doing 120 easy. I pity the poor customer. The dealers and delivery guys dont give a damn as not their hard earned cash or car . Censored

    I was also offered that they delivered the D5, 150 miles too my house and take the demonstrator away. I declined, plus i doubt they would have mentioned the smoking engine if they had delivered it. Shocked Shocked I have lost all trust . Shocked Shocked

    Asked my salesman and he says LR think 250 is an acceptable limit, though the dealership keeps the miles as low as possible. I've never had any higher than 15.

    Cheers J77. Got a text tonight saying cars in the workshop and update me tomorrow on what the findings are and how much damage has been caused. Am not looking forward too the phone call as with all the bad luck I have had with the car already, ie late delivery etc I know is going too be bad news Sad
