I personally prefer it. Is it a mock-up or the plate that you(?) requested? It has more than a hint of the D4. What about the number plate light? May be the start of a trend.
or it may be courtesy of Photoshop.

Not keen on it sorry. The plate I have on the rear of the D5 is oversized anyway. Will look too see what difference a normal sized plate makes. Plus I have my personalised ones both cut smaller which looks better, but not sure how it will look like on the D5 though??

Was thinking of doing this on mine. On seeing that I won't, it looks more awkward to me.

RDR I think it's because of the curved shape of the rear that makes it look awkward. The indent too the right hand side of the plate. I dont think it would have looked as bad if the rear was flush though. Looks like something is missing in that indented space

Mind you Craig you have a good point mate I could have a massive Faulty First Edition badge where the huge space is then everyone will know it's a First Edition, albeit one that doesn't work properly.

I happen to have a normal sized rear plate on my D5 and it looks very stupid. It just doesn't fill the space properly.
