2017 Discovery Td6 HSE Montalcino Red

    Montalcino Red

    Good evening all

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now but just joined today

Thought I would introduce my new Discovery 5.
It's Montalcino Red with the black pack.
    3ltr HSE diesel.

    Extras are.
    Heated steering wheel.
    Wade sensing.
    Surround camera system
    Climate seats
Adaptive cruse control and black roof rails.

I've found this forum very informative so far and helpful to avoid potential problems on pick up.
For example the headlight issue. Thankfully mine was fine
This is our 4th Discovery after coming from the Discovery 3 and 2 new Discovery 4s.
I have to say the step up from the 4 is quite remarkable. Technology wise the 5 is great and the interior and ride is now more like a Range Rover.

Anyway, as is custom with these forums and posts here is a mandatory picture.

    Regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Great colour combo as far as I'm concerned, looks great! Thumbs Up

I went for the same and ended up getting my roof painted, also undertrays and side step edges finished in Narvik Black in order to get rid of the different colour finishes present on them, then finally once my OCD kicked in I replaced the wheel nuts with black ones.

    Cheers.
I replaced the wheel nuts before I took it out. Couldn't be doing with the silver ones.
Looked very odd. I don't know why they did that to be honest. My last Disco was Firenze Red with black pack and the nuts on that were already black.

I'll see about the side steps. Seem ok at the moment but time will tell.

Overall I'm still very impressed with it.
The dealership up here in the lakes I use and especialy the sales guy Craig have always given me an outstanding service with no hassle whatsoever

    Mark,

You are clearly a man of taste, my previous D4 was also Firenze Red with black pack, however, as with the D5 my D4 was supplied without the black nuts, probably in attempt to pry a further £300 from my pocket. I have to say that it was a big decision to go away from the Firenze to the Montalcino without having seen the D5 in that colour in the flesh.

As for my dealers performance, I'll bite my tongue and refrain from making comment in case it sets Road Runner off again.

    Hi.

My D4 already had the black wheel nuts. Even on the D5 the dealer spotted them prior to me and changed them.
All I can say is some dealers are better than others.
With mine I've always had a great service. Just goes to show with wheel nuts being done off their own back.

I've always found it's the little things that can make a big difference.
    For example.
This is the 3rd car I've got from them. All have come with a full tank, umbrella in the boot. Spare number plate in case I have a trailer. They even put new rubber matts in my last one as I was going to swop my old ones over.
The same with this new one. They even put the old silver nuts in the boot even though they had sorted them.
Craig even spent the best part of an hour going through all the bits and bobs before we drove off.

Needless to say that's why I'm on my 3rd from the same sales guy from the same dealer
