I just use the square storage cubby, empty in the photo as that was the day I picked it up but I store my fuel receipts, Shell drivers club card and the odd KFC receipt
Mines SE spec so not privilege to any fancy storage covers or storage under the cup holders, apparently £54k don't buy such luxuries
at least your coins are in a good spot. With the 'Luxury' and the cover their is no spot. taken up by the slit for the handle to slide it. So I have no idea where to throw coins. Don't think I want to put them in the center cubby and hear them rattle each time you open it up for a cold one.
Looks like there's not many place to put coins. I tried the small console towards the back of the tray in the middle arm rest area, coins rattle. I think I'll get a plastic cup or something and leave it in the cup holder.
Just discovered that there is a switch for the. Lane Departure Warning system by the drivers right knee, handy because you can use on the move. Prior to this I had been going through the menue which is not practical whilst driving.

Buy the ashtray from the dealer, I bought one years ago for my Fl2, it's an LR part but the same one from the Ford Focus, even has the Ford badge on the bottom. Still fits in the D5, though not much good if you need both cup holders.
In the center console armrest, there's the tray for phones/ipods. Raise the lid, but not the tray underneath At the rear of the tray, there's a cutout for coins. When you want to access the storage (or cooler) underneath, and you raise both the lid and the tray, the coins don't fall out.
