Suspension fault
Hi all.
Just for information, we had a warning came up saying there was a suspension fault and do not exceed 30mph. The car was all over the place so the possibility of going more than 30 was remote. We were only a few miles from the dealer so abandoned the car there. It was all fixed the next day and was a software communications error apparently.
If this happens it is not likely to be mechanical but needs a software re-set.

Hopefully it won't happen again, but in the event pull over, switch off the ignition, wait 3-4 minutes and then restart - this performs a system reset and is a well known 1st resort after most electronics warnings come up. Often you will find that the fault will not re-occur. It does the same as a Cntl/Alt/Del on a Windows OS computer.............

We had this the other day as well. Turning off / locking / unlocking resolved it.
Out of interest, do you have auto access height turned on? Effectively when starting the car, the suspension has to rise and if it doesn't then you get the warning. Wonder if it's related to that...
Anyway, booked in next week for some other bits, so asked dealer to look into.

SSM73441 - Software calibration. Would be a good place to point the dealer.

Hi.
The suspension did reset itself, but my good lady was only 3 miles from the dealer and it did it whilst she waited for me.
As a side note, it happened straight after an emergency breaking manoeuvre.........
All has been well since, the dealer did recalibrate the software etc.
