Towing
Well did a proper tow over long distance towing a ta caravan
Covered 330 miles in France with caravan fully loaded and 5 adults
Speeds ranging no from 55 upwards and has no issues with stability only time I thought things were getting a little uncomfortable was when I let the speed creep up and suddenly realise I was touching 80 plus (not in UK) dropped speed back to 70 ish and no issues
Car returned nearly 19 to gallons on trip overall which was despite several very steep long hills on the way down
Overal very very please

Well back from France and can happily report that I have no concerns about towing with the D5 on all sorts of roads and motorways. Going down through France got just over 19 to gallon fully loaded with 5 adults towing a TA Swift also fully loaded, coming back was the same except for only two adults and got just over 21 to gallon. Both journeys were at a decent speed and had no issues towed as well as D4 and in some situations seemed a bit more stable

Good to hear that you have no concerns on towing. I agree with you. I spent last weekend towing my twin axle caravan with no issues. I also towed other trailers over the weekend, including a twin axle and a single axle, again with no issues.

Yes I spent two weeks prior to going away preparing a large area for a patio and moving concrete waste, soil hardcore etc with a single axle trailer carrying up to 2 tons each time. No issues what so ever.

That trip to France sounds lots of fun.
I just got a travel trailer, pics attached. Does anyone know if I need a break controller? I have a TD6 HSE Lux. Break controllers seem to be something people need to put on American cars but not sure if I need one. Any advice would be great.
