  instrument light levels

  Has any one else noticed that if you turn off the infotainment screen (settings/screen off) the instrument binnacle dims and the illumination dial down by the steering column has no effect.
  
  I only noticed this in the last week as the nights are starting to draw in and its one of the first times I have driven at night!
  
  I cannot say its annoying its just an interesting foilble
