    Auto main beam dip headlights

    Hi, on ordinary roads my auto headlights work excellently switching main beam on & off correctly.

    On the way to my early morning dog walk the last 1/2 mile is down an off road track which at this time of year is pitch black. The auto beam doesn’t come on?

    Wonder if it’s the Terrain Response 2 detects “Off road” & for some reason turns auto main beam dip off?

    What speed do you drive along the track? My high beam didn't seem to be working the other morning when I was leaving the house somewhat slower than normal - it the seemed to activate when I went over about 20mph.

    I thought it was disabled when off road.

    The auto system is sensitive. A couple of speed humps close together can fool it.
    Just push the button and auto terrain is disabled and see if auto lights work

    Up a bit later today as it’s Sunday Very Happy

    Monday I will try leaving Terrain Response on and speed.

    Tuesday I will try turning Terrain Response off .[/img]

    I tried this yesterday and today along a dark track at 06.00 hrs (Dark).

    Auto Terrain Response On/Off made no difference, but Auto Main Beam came on at 27mph both days.

    I assume it must be speed related Very Happy

    Yes, agree speed related. Thumbs Up

    Unable to go much more than 10 mph on “my” track, but same result as you on deserted lane.
