    New Car Collection Checklist

    Hi Everyone

    Just spoken to my dealer and my new D5 will finally be delivered next week, although as I'm on hols, we've arranged collection for Sat 21 Oct. Has anyone compiled a new car checklist to go through when you collect a new D5r, with all the updates and other issues, just concerned that I check that everything is ok before I drive away from the dealership, especially as it is 75 miles from where I live.

    Things I’ve had to get done are

    A pillar trim adrift - you’ll feel if the trim around the windscreen is loose.

    Small piece of trim between 3rd row window and rear door O/S - sticks out and can get your finger under it

    Check AdBlue levels - some dealers forget about this

    Make sure your D5 has what it’s supposed to have - been a few miss builds.

    Check all the ordered options and packages as per the order contract, sometimes something is missing. If so, you can reject the car (which is very bad for the dealer) so you can get some additional discount and some extras from the dealer, Winter tyres or anything the dealer can install.
    Once we have ordered Audi A8 for the company and it was ordered with an extra comfortable 2 seats second row but came with a standard 3 seats row. We got - the price of the option and - 10 000 euro from the order, but the car was around 130K euro
