Nice !
Would love to have access to such beautiful scenery to travel in my Red Witch Disco.
Scotland is a great place for it too. One day...
Land Rover paint colours seem to have so much depth. Yours has different hues depending on the sun's angle.
Mine is the same and looks totally different in low light / cloudy weather. Didn't recognize it when i came out of a shop last weekend during some rain. hahahahaha, felt a bit stupid for a moment.

Nice
Here in Scotland we are restricted to where we can go, we have to get permission from land owners which isn’t easy, easiest way for us is to join a club.

Thanks!! For the eclipse, we were on a little 20-acre square of National Forest land surrounded by private ranch land that had been freshly signed with NO TRESPASSING notices. We had passed thousands of people lined up along the road, but we drove by, over a hill, and once we were between the cattle gates in the NF land, up the hill I went, following a two-track that was fading back into nature. We were maybe 1/4 mile off the road and about 300 feet above it.
In that part of Wyoming, it's a patchwork of government/public land and private land, so you really have to pay attention to the map. In the mountain states, ranchers tend to take property claims quite seriously.

DieselRanger,
nice looking D5, what is the color? Is it a diesel? How is the D5 td6 doing at the higher altitudes of Colorado?
thanks

Hi @jeb3 -
Silicon Silver, and yes, it's a Td6. Doing great so far! Climbs like a goat, and I've been hitting upper 20's mpg on the interstate with cruise set at 82 mph. Turbodiesel is the only way to go at altitude in a big SUV, IMO. Above about 9,000 feet superchargers can't really keep up, whereas the variable-vane turbo will compensate better.
DEF consumption is a bit higher than the last 3.0L turbodiesel I owned, but that might not necessarily be due to altitude. We'll see how the oil life goes, so far my vehicle information display shows I'll need an oil change at about 8,000 miles which is pretty much what the service department told me to expect.
