No Just replace tyre. TPM is attached to the alloy. So as long as the tyre fitter takes care on removal and refit all should be OK. Learns system once moving.
Mind you if you have 22" alloys with tyres some of the Tyres that come out of the factory have the foam inside to keep the tyre noise down . My Range Rover L405 has had two punctures and are hard to repair. Presume Disco will be the same. Replacement tyres don't seem to have the inside foam backing which is good.
I've just had a tyre repaired. I must admit for once, after all the TPMS issues i've had in the cold weather, it was good I had it.
The rear passenger tyre picked up one of those hexagonal keys, which went straight through the middle of the tread. TPMS alerted me to a loss in pressure and by the time I crawled home the tyre was down to 18PSI.
Fortunately I know this brilliant mobile tyre company, who came out the next morning and repaired the tyre. Not bad considering I got home at 11pm, went on their website, booked the repair and they were with me at 8.30am the next day! Anyway, I saw the TPMS sensor and now understand a bit more about how they work.
