Car Wash
A month ago a car wash claimed the drivers side door handle cache....
Today my Missus was preparing the car before a trip to the mountains. A different car wash, but this was a bit more serious this time.
Whole rear spoiler ripped off..... 😡
Be careful out there.......

Yep, ripped clean off, laying on the ground behind the car when the car wash doors opened again. Their insurers are taking it in hand, but not happy. Trying to add some photos, but seems I am not techie enough....

LOL, with the crap weather in the UK at the moment, my car only seems to get cleaned also when it goes into the dealership for software updates!
I'm actually a lot more reliable than the weathermen when it comes to forecasting the weather! I can guarantee rain just after I clean my car! Thats why I don't bother at the moment!
...And I can guess that even with all this rain, the UK will have a hosepipe ban come summer!

Mines in for a dealer wash on Friday
Wouldn’t ever use a car wash ! Haven’t for years. One of the joys of a good dealer.

You spend the money you have spent on a D5 and then put it through a car wash sorry but would not even buy a £200 banger through a car wash

My local main dealer installed a wretched roll over car wash about a year ago.
It was concealed inside a new building, in an area not intended for customer access, behind a roller door and completely out of site in a windowless building. My own, year old and dark metallic, LR had gone through it on two occasions before I found out what they were doing. It was only on the third visit that their machine broke down, with my car mid wash, that the truth was out!
I was furious, as they’d always washed my cars properly before and there is no way that I’d have let a car, even a quarter of the value, go through one of those ****** things! May I suggest checking with your own dealer before booking in?

My dealership has a team of cleaners, they are out in all weathers cleaning customers cars, I have no idea how they do it! Its not like they get to pick small vehicles, lets face it LR don't have small cars!
You can watch them from the seating area, which I think is actually really good, it gives you confidence in what they are doing to your prized possession! And they don't cut corners, each time they've washed mine its been a state, and there are normally two or three people on it. It still takes them a good 30 minutes to wash and dry the outside, vacuum the inside and then they do the wheels, and polish off the outside again. Top job every time!
Can't say i'd risk a car wash either, even if it is one of those 'brushless' ones.
Had a moment of madness a while back when I had a new BMW 335d. Put it through a car wash for the first (and last) time and one of the sensors cocked up, so I lost both wiper arms and as the vacuum nozzle didn't rise it scraped the windscreen and cracked it.... Never again..

My dealers valeters are p
s poor and that’s putting it politely.
The windows on my Velar looked like they had been cleaned with an oily rag.

No gremlins, other than the well documented early service warning light. Ran sweet as a nut

I'm liking the colour, I think we both had a Disco Sport about the same time 2015, I've got some 5025 alloys from the Dynamic styling pack in the garage, they'd look nice on that.
