Updates N118 and N025 break Rear Seat Entertainment
Im aware that the latest update to the InConctrol system cannot be applied to vehicles with Rear Seat Entertainment because it breaks the system. Ive been waiting several months for JLR software engineers to resolve that issue, but it looks like they just cant be bothered now.
However after having the car serviced last week, update N025 and N118 were applied, these are I believe to split out the oil and service counters and fix a problem with the service required message not displaying.
It appears that after these updates Im getting the "Rear Media Not Available" message when trying to use the system. Much to the disappointment of my two young children it appears that even these software updates have not been tested on vehicles with RSE, and have rendered mine useless.
So, warning to others that may be due to get these updates, if you have RSE then do not have them applied without assurance that they are not going to break your RSE system.

The latest issue is supposed to be specifically for the RSE cars, mine is in now so will see what happens and report back

I had the issue with the RSE, mine was one of the first cars to have the initial update which corrupted the RSE. The dealer managed to sort everything and get it working again but it took 2 days, that was back in August and they are now putting the new update on, the car was due back today but it is now delayed and will hopefully be back tomorrow.!!!!

O Oh. That doesnt sound good....
I do see however that from pictures posted of the MY18 cars, the infotainment has the different icon for the seat settings, indicating that is has the updated software. As the HSE Lux comes with RSE, then I assume that there is indeed a version of the latest software that works on cars with RSE (like our first editions)
But thats assuming there arent any other changes that allow the new software to function on the newer cars.
