Love the way it trounced Tony Stark's cars !
Great looking motor. Hope one day the tech makes it into LR cars... all that instant torque

How did it trounce them? The stats posted are slower than the Models S and X, but better than the Model 3, for now.
The Model X P90D in Ludicrous Mode hits 60 in well under 4 seconds, and in standard mode they're about the same. Price wise and from a range perspective, that's it's prime competition from Tesla.
I have read that Jaguar will likely introduce higher performance versions at some point... hopefully available as a software upgrade, as Tesla does.
Anyway, I'll have to see it in person...I was hoping they would go with a more swoopy, retro-modern style - the angular approach isn't as appealing in its final form. Still, it's better looking than the hideous eggy lump of a Model X.

It beat them in a 0-60-0 test by a good car length and a half.

The model X P90D was not run in Ludicrous Mode, if it was so equipped. Will be interesting to see how pricing for the I-Pace compares to the Model X...if the Model X with Ludicrous Mode is the same price as the I-Pace which does not have a high performance mode, then the comparison is not really valid. As Motor Trend said, "take it with a grain of salt".

Ludicrous Mode or everyday mode (in reality the mode that will be used most) I prefer the Jag. The front end of all Tesla’s is just weird with no grill IMHO.
I’m sure Ludicrous Mode eats battery power too and isn’t particularly practical for everyday use.

All absolutely true, but the Tesla fanbois and media won't let Jaguar off the hook so easy, as already seen. Ludicrous mode may be a gimmick, but it's a gimmick that blows the doors off pretty much anything else, at the expense of a slow ride to the nearest Supercharger to juice up enough to limp home afterwards. But then the Tesla also has some bullsh*t show-off mode that makes the lights flash and gullwings flap like a wounded tern while it plays "Ride of the Valkyries" or some such.
Very like Elon to add totally unnecessary features just because he can.
If the Jag is around $75k to start, it may be a cheaper bet than Tesla, which has no dealer network for support. What is cool about Tesla are remote diagnostics and over-the-air updates that add new features and allow power train and infotainment upgrades to be added on after purchase, which I would hope Jaguar implements also.

I believe it will be less than the Model X.
Yes the remote over the air software updates are great. Based on JLR’s abilities with software though I wouldn’t want them doing OTA updates on my D5

Honesty...may not always be the best policy. But there is something to appreciate about it.
