    Dsg paddle shift extensions.

Fitting the paddle shift extensions over the weekend. Genuine LR aluminium ones were £400, silly money Shocked

Ended up purchasing a pair of lightweight aluminium, anodised, red ones. Quality is really good and smooth.

£30 odd, complete with 3m tape. A fraction of the price of the LR ones.

Not sure how they will look in contrast too the cream leather. Depends if the Mrs likes them or not, but no great loss as not spent a fortune on them if she decides too remove them.

Post photos on the weekend after fitting Smile

That's the only colour they do. May have a go at spraying or plasti dipping them silver or black. Laughing

Looks like the jury is out on this one. Neutral

Wifes not keen on them. Too bright apparently and the wrong colour. Would not have been as bad if they were silver or dark blue too match the interior stitching she said, instead of being bright shocking red. Look big as well was another issue. They are meant too be extensions I said Shocked

(Typical woman, everything has too match) Rolling Eyes

Am sitting it out on the fence at the moment. I think they look ok but get will get used too them over time. Can't say they look good or bad if am honest.

However kids love them. as the local footy team is red and white. At least someone is happy Laughing

Why though ? Are the one’s LR fit too small or somehow inadequate?

The LR ones are £400 and the wife has small hands, that's why lol:

Am not sure how big the LR ones are in comparison too these ones.

I have never use the paddle shift the few times I have used the car.

I gather your not a fan either then ??

Seems they might end up in the bin after all Big Cry

Hindsight is a wonderful thing I suppose. Seemed a good idea at the time. Whistle

Yes they are a bit bright but on the upside I only spent £30 on them, plus not hard too miss. Had i spent the full whack on them, I think she would have shot me. Now where's the spray paint when you need it Rolling Eyes

Tbh I have far bigger hands than hers so maybe that's why they look small too me, but they probably are average. All depends on ones perspective I suppose. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

My brother had original ones on his D4 and said they would catch on his cuffs, so he took his off.

That settles it, they are coming off tomorrow. Crying or Very sad

Officer I was assaulted by a paddle shift extension. That would be a world first I bet Laughing
