    Lo / High Range change

    Confused:

The online manual and iGuide say:

“If the Lo button is pressed when the vehicle's speed is too high, the instrument panel displays the maximum speed for the range change”

This suggests you can change between Hi and Low Range on the move below a certain speed. Yet it also says:

“The vehicle should be stationary, with the engine running, during a transfer box range change selection”

    Which is right ?

The D3/4 could change on the move (in neutral), can the D5 as well?[/code]

The speed is the max you should do in low range (think the car will limit you)
You must be stationary to select low range. Think you may also need to me inneutral/Park. If forget that part

You have to be in Neutral.

The message about speed refers to a 'range change' so not the max speed in Low Range.

You can change from Low to High while in neutral and moving - was shown that on an experience day, and did it myself on a test drive.

Excellent, many thanks. Handy to know for sure as I can shift on the move once under way Thumbs Up

I assume there would be a warning if it wasn't possible - just not tried in fear of Censored up something.

Yes, there is a warning - I accidentally pressed the low range button instead of the speed limit control and got the green low range icon flashing on the dashboard and a message saying it would change to low once stationary. This disappeared after 10 or 20 seconds and didn't change into low range once I subsequently stopped.

You can change from low to high whilst on the move (provided neutral is selected)
But not high to low, this stops accidentally breaking the gearbox.

    Low Range

I just finished an LRE Day and they insisted on stopping in neutral before selecting LOW. No Park, Neutral. They mentioned that several times
