InControl Crashed - Black screen only
My MY18 InControl crashed today, was initially stuck with Landrover logo on the main screen with normal home screens on the rears, however after shutting down all I get is a black screen! Any ideas how to reboot/resolve this as the power/volume button only seems to be released to media or should I call assistance?
It only a week old, so I think it is running the latest software

Oh well I tried turning the ignition off and waiting but made no difference, however I turned everything off pulled the sim and usb media, left the car locked for 15 mins, went out and tried again and back working again, phewww.
JLR this is a joke never had anything like this in a BMW or Mercedes you really need to get to the bottom of these issues or people will never come back to the product, it all has to work well. Even booting and giving an error would be better than failing without reason!

I agree RB, LR have to get this sorted, this is not what you come to expect from a premium car maker. The model has been out long enough for them to iron out the kinks, so theres no excuse!
I've had a few times where my infotainment has hung on the LR logo, but fortunately and stop and start of the engine has resolved it.

Not just that it was inconvenient I had 3 guests in the car we had gone out for a meal with them in the nice new car, used sat Nav to get there and then had to use an iPhone and google maps to get us back, I felt such a mug, £70 grand and embarrassed 😩
Out of interest when you say you stop and start the car how long or what else did you do? If it happens again I don’t want to have to bail everyone out and lock it up for 15 mins if I don’t have to!
Thx

To be honest, all I had to do was stop on the side of the road, switch off the engine and open the door (to switch off the infotainment system). Wait for about 30 seconds and start the engine again.
The infotainment system seemed to restart with the logo again, but this time go into the home page as expected. Like I say its happened to me twice now and because it fixed itself fast I haven't bothered to contact the dealership.

I had exactly the same happen, except i was in France and miles from anywhere when it all crashed and I got the LR logo followed by black screen. I still had the radio but could not adjust station or volume. Tried all the normal things but nohting worked so used phone for sat nav to get us back to where we were staying. The screen came back to life 24 hours later. That was last August and have been plagued by infotainment issues ever since.
Car went in last week and they think they have finally fixed it, got it back Friday but havent used it since, will try to test tomeorrow if I get time.
