I'm trying to download my first map update but cannot seem to direct it to save it to my USB stick. I'm using a mac and have downloaded the MapDownloader file which works, but doesn't give me an option of saving to my 128gb USB stick.
Can anyone advise how to solve this?

I think maximum GB that the disco can handle is 64GB USB...

But does that mean that the maps wont give me an option to load download them to the USB on my mac though?

The thumb drive must be formatted to FAT32 ...so that may be causing you an issue?

If the software is smart enough, yes.
That’s why I bought new 64GB usb’s for this car... but never tried a bigger usb.
If the webpage is open and I click download maps, it opens the mapdownloader which immediately shows the USB and the download starts or says you already have the latest update.
I have trouble with the movies on the 64gb usb as it says queue corrupted, where with a smaller usb it just works fine.
Not 100% sure if it’s really the usb size, but this is what I experienced

I'm starting to suspect that it's the USB size which is the issue as you say.

Hi Labbix,
I use a MacBook for my downloads, never had this problem.
Is the USB empty and formatted as FAT32?
I run the download manager and when I put the USB in, it pops up as an option in the download destinations. Even if theres no enough room on the USB, it still shows it, but if you select it the download manager tells you you need to make more space on the destination drive.

Could be due to the USB being 128Gb, i've used both 32Gb and 64Gb with no problems.

Agree on the Mac thing, I've had my 15inch Pro since 2011 and it's still going strong whereas i would have been through a few PC laptops in that time.
