B pillar creak
well confirmed by the dealer that the rattle that was driving me nuts is the same issue that the baby Disco has - creaky B pillar.
just need to get the time to send it into the body shop for repair.

Noooo...
I rejected my DS due to this and the replacement was starting to exhibit the same issue. Its taken LR 3 model years to seemingly fix the issue in production.
Has this been formally identified as an issue by LR (is a TSB been issued?) ?
The TSB they issued (with 9 revisions I think) required weld joints being drilling out and rewelded, removal of headlining (windscreen in some cases) and general butchering of the B Pillar area.

I've not heard.
All I've been told is they will need to do as you describe.
Weirdly I'm ok with the rattle now as I know what it is.
Now the squeaky brakes are a different matter

You accept butchering your 60K car to fix a design / build issue

no I don't - and it was 75k - however I accept that things might rattle. they shouldn't but sometimes they do.
if I was unable to find it they would have gotten it back in small pieces however now I hopefully know what it is and there is a fix then it somewhat appeases me.
should they still be building things that are like this nowadays - I suspect not

I hope it's not as brutal a 'fix' as the B Pillar ticking issue the DS had. There were many fixes and none worked by all accounts.
Fingers crossed for you.

Is there a technical bulletin explaining the fix or at least a list of works the body shop will perform ?

I had B pillar tinkling in my last D4 ...only when it was warm though ...contemplated time for them to fix it but ultimately settled for just turning the radio up when it happened

When I smoked the empty cardboard packet was responsible for the prevention of lots of creaks, squeaks and unbalanced tables.
Don't smoke now so rely on others to do my anti-creak work

Oh dear, more problems with my April D5 SE 3 litre vehicle. I not only have the Spare Tyre Pressure warning message on start up but now have an intermittent clunk/clank from somewhere near the middle pillar on the drivers side when pulling away, braking and sometimes cornering.
Today I did a fifty mile, 100 mile round trip in lashing rain and when I got home found that the door lock cover on the front passenger door was missing !!
Is that an indication that my vehicle is giving up and will fall completely to bits any time soon !!

Just pressure wash it, all the other covers will come off too. Apparently petrol stations across the country have plenty.
Just another "feature".
Now talking of rattles and creaks and just in case it helps someone, another "feature" of mine was a bad rattle from the back somewhere. Turned out to be the rear passenger headrest rattling in its mounting. Months I put up with it - in terms of unwanted "features" it was low on my list compared to the rest.
The squeaky brakes never managed to get cured either.
