    Dual view

    Hello,

    Just picked up our new Disco5 HSE lux. The kids where really keen to see the DVD playing in the back which worked fine. However we can't get the DVD to play on dual view in the front.

    I have quizzed the dealer about this who simply states the car does't have dual view. This is the response I would expect if the car didn't have the TV option, but the fact it can play DVDs seems a bit poor. Big Cry

    Can this be coded into the vehicle after market. I know the TV option can't but this just to allow the DVD to play in the front via dual view.

    Hi

    From having a Range Rover with one previously, my understanding is that the dual view touchscreen is an option at around 700 pounds. Standard screen has no facility for this. Without this specific screen, the front images will not display whilst the car is in motion.

    If you check out the website car build page, it should be shown as an option on there somewhere.

    Have you got the twin-screen soft-key at the bottom of the centre screen?

    No, it's not there and I have the phase4 update.

    I can;t believe this is anything other than software as the screens are all the same even in Jaguars

    FWIW, I have a 2018 Lux with the TV option and RSE

    I too believe the hardware to be different, despite the screens appearing the same.

    I have had 2 cars with TV but NO dual view screen, and one with TV AND dual view.

    As I say, I'm sure the options used to be separate, and cost approx. 700 each.
