    How Accurate is Your Fuel Economy Display?

    For some reason, car manufacturers always seem to make the onboard computer display a better fuel economy figure than real-life.

    I'm currently estimating that the D5 is showing a figure about 10% better than real life. Is that typical of what other people are seeing?

    On the D4, I used my IID tool to adjust the display to be much closer to reality but that facility isn't available for the D5 yet.

    The trip computer on my 18my V6d SE on 19 inch wheels consistently overreads by 15%, been calculated on most refills over last 12000 miles.
    24MY D300 Dynamic SE, Fuji White, Deployable Towbar, full size spare.

    My trip computer is also way out, I also use the Road Trip app, you be surprised at the difference.

    I go by the fuel gauge, If it starts to complain of getting empty, I fill it up. No idea what the fuel consumption is, other than compared to the D4 it just keeps going. for an extra 100km on a tank. So it seems.
