Am I missing a piece of trim?

Hi,

I am just back from the "Above and Beyond Tour" where I had the chance to drive a couple of different D5 on and off road. I noticed right away, that they look different below the bonnet. They had a piece of trim that I don't have. My D5 is MY17, they had MY17 and MY18 which all had this piece of trim.

Mine:

My MY17 is the same as yours Hauser....

And mine is the same as yours.

Namib Orange 1st Edition with black roof and wheels.
Privacy, tow bar, drive pack, surround camera, heated front & rear seats, auto dim door mirrors, side steps, remote Pro, RSE, arm rest fridge dash cam front and rear.

Thanks guys...

It seems some have it, some don't. No obvious rule determinable on whether it should be there or not.
(Since there are MY17 with and without it. Mine is Sept. 2017, so a rather late build...)

Mine is MY17, delivered in August 17 but built in June-ish - it took a bit of a boat ride to get it here. That trim is present on mine.

I assume its to stop leaves and other stuff collecting in that gap. I have to clear mine out regularly at this time of year.
