    2017 Discovery Td6 HSE Lux Loire Blue

    Plank fold

    Why does it randomly fold down (when opening the boot) sometimes and other times stay up? I’ve reached the conclusion it just whatever it’s feeling like to keep me guessing. ???
    HSE Lux MY17 in Loire Blue with deployable tow bar, activity key and cubby fridge. (And Apple CarPlay and Android Auto)

    I think mine only folds down when the boot is opened with a kick gesture. Any other method and it needs a manual press of the interior switch.

    It depends on how you chose to open the boot, use the key and the plankk drops. Press the boot button and it does not

    To me the logic seems fairly simple:

    Open with boot button -> plank stays up.

    Open by any other means (keyfob, kick, driver's button) -> plank down.

    At least this is the case in my my2017.
