Incontrol Route Planner - on a PC
I've been using the route planner for some time and found it OK
But now I'm
and it hurts!
I'm going on a series of journeys over a period of time and want to plan ahead my routes and send them to the car BUT it always wants to start a route where my car is located, not where it's actually going to be on any given day
How the hell can I tell it to start from a different location?????
Surely can't be that
hard to do as it worked for me in TomTom and Garmin ...

Just send all the destinations to the car and each morning select the one you need, or is that too easy?
That is what I do for motoring holidays is France.
Alternatively you can set up the whole lot as a series of way points, but I have never bothered with that.

Just put your start point in the top box and your destination in the bottom box. Click the X next to the 3rd box showing your car's location to make that box go away.

OK I can see that working but I have a number of waypoints to add to each route, so not sure how to do that.
Basically, I'm taking two WW2 5th Para vets to Normandy for 75th D-Day and want to program in the places they'd like to visit. I have different routes for 3 different days.
With most satnav systems this is easy to do in advance.

OK Thanks for that info
that seems to be the way to do it.
Only thing I can't do is use the point-and-hold method to add the waypoint, but it works if I type in the location
Much appreciated to you and jimbg

One useful tip for finding exact locations:- zoom in and find the place on Google Maps then copy and paste the long lat into the planner way-point.
I did this on a trip in Normandy to find an exact spot for a D day landing beach and spots that were important to our trip.
