Well that's a painful reality check. Range Rover clearly not such a desirable brand in China. Seems like over optimism boom & bust.

I’ve accepted this will be my last LR. Poor dealer and manufacturer support, but by the sounds of it the accountants could well be hammering in the final nail in the coffin.
I stand to loose a few quid on the D5 if the brand goes south, but hey ho, that’s life. Good whilst it lasted.

Interesting...but any company with a disregard for its Customers eventually goes Pete tong.
Lets see if the New Defender turns things round....glad i didn't put my deposit down now..
BUT agree about the Jaguar comment...anyone ever tried an XE? one of the most lacklustre cars I've been in for a while.
Give me a VW passat or similar any day.

This is hardly a surprise. Circa £1000pa for an extended warranty on a D5. Says it all about the quality of the product.
I dare you all to put your reg and mileage into a car valuation site. It’s shocking for the D5. Knocking on half value in 2 years.

I have a "guaranteed future value" deal on mine. Knowing that, I can't lose more than I know I am going to. If the value come trade in is higher I can sell it privately, if less - not for me to worry about.

It’s an interesting conundrum on depreciation. Been looking at a d5 again for swmbo where the option is buy outright but like others see half of my money wiped out in a couple of years or do what the younger generation seem to do and put as little in as possible and have a guaranteed future value knowing if prices have gone south you can just hand it back and let the finance company Deal with it.
